Helene Wirt
I started helping dogs in need 11 years
ago when I rescued an abandoned
puppy whom I named Baldwin.
Since then, I have dedicated my life to
these wonderful animals. I provide food,
shelter, spay/neuter surgery and
veterinary care to all dogs that came to
me. I am already 63 years old and I
hope I can go on with your help to
provide the love and care that each of
these animals deserve.
You can help by adopting a wonderful

food and medication or simply loving
your dog and educating others on
how to provide proper care and
homes for dogs.

Caitlin Kwan is a dog-lover from Portland, Oregon.
She learned about Helene's project and was deeply touched by Helene's love for dogs. Caitlin decided to go to Costa Rica and help!
While in Costa Rica, Caitlin has helped rescue dogs that were abandoned, abused, and neglected. She has learned a lot from Helene, and has even helped a puppy learn to walk again after surviving parvovirus.
